PetrolValves is established starting with small sizes valves production

Range of production includes Wedge Gate Valves and Swing Checkup to 42”, Ball valves up to 36”, Slab Gate Valves up to 36”.
PetrolValves is recognized as one of the main valves’ manufacturers for Oil and Gas applications in Europe and Middle East.

1968 - 1970

The 1st Top Entry Ball valve is patented, and our production range increases up to 56’’ valves.
PetrolValves enters international gas market and leads the Subsea market.

1973 - 1980

1973 - 1980

Two new designs are patented for the first time: Choke valve and Double Disc valve.
The 1st metal to metal sealing Ball Valve is engineered.

PetrolValves introduces into the market the Subsea Top Entry Ball Valve.

1991 - 1993

The 1st Orifice Fitting Depressurized is developed.
A new Team is founded to improve customers installed valves performances: the Service department.

1995 - 1996

1995 - 1996

Successful project Europipe: two of the largest gas pipelines up to 660km long in the North Sea to Europe.
The 1st Double Expanding Gate valve is designed and installed in the North Sea for the Troll project.

1990 - 2000

PetrolValves expands globally: new Regional Offices and shops in US (Houston), Norway (Stavanger) and UK (London).
The “vision 2000” broke through and PetrolValves was one of the first companies to obtain the ISO 9001 certification.

Followed by further ISO 14001 and 18001 immediately obtained once they entered in force. The same quality attitude was held to approach technical codes, authorizations and certifications such as Ped, Atex, Sil, Functional Safety and API Monograms

Highest pressure and temperature resistant valves for North Sea Shearwater project.
20.000 valves supplied for upstream project in Kazakhstan Kashagan fields, working in extreme gas sour environmental: H2S up to 35% and CO2 up to 8%.

A new Team is founded to widen our products offering: the Actuators department specialized in Subsea application.
PetrolValves expands globally: international and local reach grows opening new offices and enhancing sales organization in Asia and Pacific (Australia, China and Malaysia), Middle East (Abu Dhabi) and UK (Aberdeen).

Largest Cryogenic Top Entry valve in the world for Prelude project.

Largest Pipeline Valves 48” 1500 top entry ball and 48” 1500 double expanding gate and topside spring return actuator for successful North Europe pipeline projects.
PetrolValves celebrates its 60th years birthday.

The new Control Valve (branded VSI) enters PetrolValves product range with a dedicated team of experts and a new facility in Castellanza is inaugurated.
PetrolValves expands globally: new service center in Kazakhstan.

The new Triple Offset Valve enters PetrolValves product range with a dedicated team of experts and a new focus factory in Piacenza is inaugurated.
PetrolValves completes a 3-years investment plan on Castellanza plant.

PetrolValves Piacenza plant for Triple Offset Valves and Ball Valves is fully commissioned.
PetrolValves expands globally: new production facility is acquired in Saudi Arabia.

Launched in the market BRAVA – Boltless Reliable Advanced Valve: which combines Ball Valve and extensively proven compressor technologies.
