Subsea Actuator Refurbishment after 17 years of successful operations at 6500ft water depth

Our Valves and Actuators are renowned worldwide for their quality as well as their reliability. PetrolValves Service division refurbished a FSC hydraulic helical spline actuator after 17 years of reliable operations and perfect integrity in harsh marine environment at 6500ft water depth in the North Sea.

The testing performed on the actuator proved full functionality: Intact performances, original condition of all main parts and zero leakages on the hydraulics. The actuator has been refurbished by stripping it down, checking with NDE test of all critical parts, and then final testing.

Valerio Soldà, the Engineer who performed the refurbishment, was extremely pleased to see the quality of the actuator that he built at the beginning of his career.
